bayern design is commissioned by the Bavarian State Ministry for the Economy, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology to develop the sustainable enhancement of the design quality of Bavarian products and services so that the State of Bavaria becomes a premier site for innovation and design with international renown.
The new image brochure is the first part of a redesign that the Warriors were commissioned to take charge of. Content-wise, the different administrative districts and their design skills are introduced and the design activities of Bavarian firms are made tangible. The brochure focuses on the businesses’ outstanding designs and also showcases them as a photo tableau on the inside of the book-jacket. With its pitch black background it contrasts with the highlighted products but also with the predominately white pages of the brochure and emphasizes the product’s function and worthiness.
To mirror bayern design’s own commitment to sustainability, the image brochure was printed on FSC certified, 100% recycled paper in small numbers. This also ensures the ability to react flexibly when changes need to be made without having to destroy big print runs.
